The Wonder Of Mobile Phone Unlock

Many people are not aware of the value of unlocking their respective phones. Look at the reasons why it is actually important.

Why do you need to unlock mobile phone? Very few people actually know the answer to this question. In fact, there are even more people who do not know that their mobile phones are actually locked to a single network. A locked phone doesn't really matter if you are happy with the service that you are getting from your network. However, if you are already thinking of switching to a new network, a locked phone can prove to be a big liability. Hence, it is important for you to know how to unlock a phone as well as why you should do it.

What does a locked cell phone mean? Simply put, it means that you won't be able to use your phone with just any SIM card. For example, if you initially bought your phone from T-Mobile, then your phone will only accept a T-Mobile SIM card to work. In this case, switching to another provider becomes costly, as well as difficult. If you wanted to change to another network, you will have to purchase a new phone and then you'll have to transfer your contacts to that new phone. This in itself is already a hassle and is one of the reasons why unlock services have become ever more important in recent years.

Through unlock mobile phone; it is now possible for you to travel abroad without changing phones. Also you can get locked bargain phones from auction sites such as eBay, have them unlocked and you can have a great phone in your artillery! Now you can switch providers without worrying about the cost of buying a new phone or how you're going to pay for the 3-year contract. Now, you can choose the best service that fit your needs without incurring additional charges!

Despite of many advantages offered by an unlock cell phone; there are still a number of people who are hesitate. This is because many of them have unanswered questions which cause their apprehension in "jumping with the band wagon". Here are 2 of the most frequently asked questions regarding mobile phone unlock:

* Is mobile phone unlocking legal?

Yes, it is. As a matter of fact, you don't even have to get an unlock cell phone service after you complete your contract with your network provider. It is your basic right to have the unlock code to your phone so you can use it with any network you want. Your network provider is actually mandated by law to teach you how to unlock a phone. Keep in mind, however, that every network has its own set of requirements you need to fulfill before they grant you this service, make sure you know them before you sign up for a contract. Also, getting your phone unlocked before the warranty is due can invalidate it.

* Can all mobile phones be unlocked?

Yes, most of the phones can be unlocked. The older Nokia phones already have free unlock code calculators but other brands such as Samsung, Motorola, Treo and Sony Ericsson need special software in order to be cracked. If you own one of these brands, it is best that you get a professional to help you unlock your phone. On the other hand, Blackberry is a little bit more difficult to unlock since its codes are randomly assigned and only a handful of mobile phone unlock service are capable of "freeing" your Blackberry.

A locked phone also has locked features! Who wouldn't want to use all the features and functions of their phone, right? If one still doesn't know the importance of unlocking a phone, he or she must read articles like this or ask the experts. They might not even know if their's are locked or not!
